The Secret Door

You know…there is nothing as tempting as a locked door. What would you expect behind a locked door, a dead relative, old furniture, or even a ghost? Well as mysterious as a locked door might seem, it doesn’t always turn out to be what you’d expect. Mother’s would warn their children to never go near the door, but that would just increase the child’s curiosity, and tempt him even more to go an open it, but David was in a different situation. Instead of being stunned with curiosity upon hearing that warning, he was stunned with fear.

David had just passed the 7th grade, and it was his summer vacation, but instead of vacationing with his family, he got stuck with his eerie Aunt Sarah. She had recently lost a husband, and just by looking at her, you could tell that she was fifty. Just the sight of her face, made him flinch in pain. His aunt was weird, she use to collect skulls and spiders, and she still does, and David had been living with her for a week, helping her clean up her old attic, and doing other odd jobs around her house. David was able to manage, until he came across that door. At first, he thought it was another room to clean, but as he approached it, Aunt Sarah grabbed his shoulders, and warned him to never enter that room. So, later that night, when he went to bed, he got the weirdest and most horrifying dreams.

A couple of days passed, and he kept on getting nightmares, but on that last night he had had it! He decided to conquer his fear of the locked door. So, in the middle of the night, he snuck out of bed and tip toed to his aunts bedroom. But for some reason his aunt wasn’t there. So, he snuck in and got the keys, and stealthily tip-toed to the locked room. He pushed in the key into the keyhole, and twisted it. As the door opened, a weird figure appeared. David turned on the lights, as the lights flicked on, that figure became clear, it was him! David screamed, and his aunt rushed to his aide. Suddenly, other figures of him appeared, and so of his aunt, David couldn’t take it, he kept screaming and crying. His aunt slapped him, and he realized that the room was filled with mirrors…

November 21, 2009 at 5:05 PM (Uncategorized)

He smiles, and shows off his rifle. This is Mansa, and he’s not your typical street punk, he may be the youngest street punk in Africa. Mansa is a clever boy, he robs local convenient stores with ease. He comes in, acting like a begger, and cries for food and money. So, once they give it to him, he runs out with joy, but when that doesn’t work he has a different approach. Mansa is quick on his feet, so at first he would throw rocks into the store he was raiding. Then, he would come into the store with a huge black bag, while pointing the gun to the store keeper, and grab all the toys and money he could find. This plan always worked, and he would always get away with, but this time, the plan didn’t work. Everything was flawless in his plan, but then, the store keeper found out that Mansa’s gun is a toy…
